STATEMENT OF FAITH:
God: We believe in one eternal God: Holy in nature, infinite in power, and limitless in love. His grace is sufficient, and His mercy is enough. He has revealed Himself as Father in creation, Son in redemption, and Holy Spirit in regeneration. He is worthy to be loved with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. (Deuteronomy 6:4-5, John 3:16, John 4:24)
Bible: We believe all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God. It is important, inspired, and inerrant. Every part of it points to Jesus. The Word of God is our final source of appeal. It is the B.I.B.L.E, (The Best Instructions Before Leaving Earth.) Everything that’s described in this Statement of Faith might be helpful, but when the dust settles, the Holy Bible is our Statement of Faith. (Isaiah 40:8, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, Hebrews 4:12)
Jesus Christ: We believe God is revealed fully in Jesus. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on a cross for our sins, and rose from the grave. We believe that through His life, death, burial, and resurrection, that we have salvation. He is now our High Priest, Advocate, and Mediator. We do all things, though Jesus Christ, who gives us strength. (Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1,14, Colossians 2:9-10, Colossians 3:17, 1 Timothy 3:16)
The Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is active in the world today and that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is essential for all New Testament believers. Given at Pentecost, the Holy Spirit empowers, leads and guides us. (Acts 1:8, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 2:38-39, Romans 8:9-11)
Salvation: We believe that all have sinned and stand in need of redemption, which is only found by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift from God. We demonstrate our faith in God, by first, repenting of our sins, and allowing God to forgive us of our sins. Next, we are buried in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins, by being fully immersed in water baptism. Once we have demonstrated our faith in Jesus Christ through both repentance and baptism, we have the promise of the Gift of the Holy Spirit. (John 3:3,5-8,16, Acts 2:27-40, Acts 4:12, Romans 1:16, Ephesians 2:8-9)
The Church: We believe in the church. It is a community where people can Learn, Love, and Live Jesus. The church is one body of many members. The church is a community, a catalyst, and a cause. It is community of believers. It is a catalyst to lead people to Jesus. It is a cause, that has the audacity to believe it can change the world. It is a location of Life, Love, and Liberty. (Mathew 16:18-19, Acts 2:41-47)
Communion: The Lord’s Supper is a memorial service, remembering both in a sacred and symbolic manner, the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. Only believers should share in it. (Luke 22:15-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-28)
The Second Coming: We believe in the return of Jesus Christ to receive the church, unto Himself. At His coming, we believe the dead in Christ will be resurrected from the grave, those that are alive will be caught up in the air, to be forever with the Lord. (John 14:1-4, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
Leading people to a lift of Liberty. Learning, loving and living Jesus.
LIFE.We are a life-giving church. Jesus came, that we might have life and that we might live it abundantly. We are more than a crowd, we are a community, living life to the fullest.
LOVE: Life was meant to be loved, not just lived. We believe everyone was meant to love and be loved. God is love. We love God, ourselves, and others. Love is the motive behind everything we do.
LIBERTY: The only way to have a real life and authentic love is to experience Liberty. Where the Lord is, there is Liberty. Jesus came to set people at Liberty. We exist to lead people to perfect Liberty in Jesus.
